We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a physical, fast-paced, outdoor environment that involves delivering packages to residents, businesses, industrial and commercial sites. The Delivery Driver must be highly motivated and have excellent time-management, customer service, and driving skills. Qualified applicants must have a valid G or higher license issued in the province of Ontario. The Delivery Driver will be driving a Ford Transit Van and expected to comply with Great Lakes Supply guidelines. Knowledge of the London and surrounding areas is required. *Forklift experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
Deliver a wide variety of products to residents and businesses throughout the city
Plan routes of deliveries in timely schedule
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate company delivery cargo van
Schedule and perform fire extinguisher inspection services to businesses
Resolve customers’ complaints
Assist in pulling orders by preparing products for shipping, delivery or pick-up, in the warehouse, as needed
Assist in stocking products on shelves, as needed
Represent the company by maintaining a positive attitude and building customer relationships
Inform customers about new products, sales, and services
Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage
Practice safe driving while ensuring items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery
Requirements
*Must be 25 years of age or older (for insurance purposes)
*Must have a valid Ontario G license
*Delivery experience required
*Driving record required
*Forklift experience is an asset
*Well-versed in the London area
Able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance
Excellent time-management skills
